I think it is better to build a small collection of reliable products than to buy random cheap things. Some pieces look shiny online but feel like plastic when you open the package. I like when a shop clearly shows PD, lens height and bridge width in millimeters. Taking a few minutes to research before buying can save a lot of money and frustration.

I try to look for real photos of the insoles and soles, not only the outside of the shoe. Very thin fabric may be fine for summer but often looks cheap and becomes see through. That is why I sometimes leave comments myself when I test a new shop or product. Price is important to me, but quality and comfort are even more important in the long run. Online shopping will always have a bit of risk, but experience makes it easier. If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually has some kind of catch. I think this is one of the few real advantages we have compared to shopping blindly. If a piece of jewelry keeps its color and does not irritate the skin, I consider it a win.
